The following is a partial list and brief descriptions of several current IDS program workshops. We routinely customize these and other programs for our clients.
Super KAIZEN
A one-day workshop focusing on intra- and inter-departmental teamwork toward an organization's "big picture" goals. The day looks at how to successfully and efficiently work together even when physically working apart. "Kaizen" is the Japanese term for continuous improvement and "super" can represent many different aspects of your team such as supervisors or performance excellence. A learning program worthy of the description "FUN," Super KAIZEN provides staff with active group problem-solving, reverse perspectives, aligned purpose and an interesting look at the pros and cons of competition. Major emphasis is placed on improving relationships and learning from workplace situations.
New Hire Orientation - Building Relationships
Four-hour or one-day program providing newly hired staff a chance to meet other employees and coworkers in a facilitated, activity-oriented session. Build strong lasting relationships the first day on the job. Learn team and leadership skills in a relaxed environment that demonstrates organizational support of new employees. (Recommended for groups of 10 or more new hires at a time.)
Experiential Team Building
One day or multi-day programs designed around the specific needs of the client, organization or industry. Attention is given to team development stages, effective communication, goal setting, leadership, and problem solving. A two-day workshop designed to bring differing organizational cultures together. This program raises awareness of commonalties between people, thereby decreasing resistance to accept other ways of thinking and behaving. An interactive workshop, emphasis is placed on dialogue skills, seeing the world through different perspectives, and group problem solving from a supervisory level.

Emphasis is placed on understanding the soft skills of presentation such as voice projection, body language and word usage; hard skills such as use of overhead projectors, flip charts and Powerpoint; and actual practice of short and medium length presentations. A videotape feedback model is used and each participant receives a tape to keep.
